We're hiring an AV Design Engineer ready to work on projects with supervised by Senior AV Design Consultants and help to deliver the high standard projects.

Position Overview: We're hiring an AV Design Engineer This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their AV career to contribute to audiovisual system projects under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves supporting the design process from initial concepts through documentation, applying fundamental design principles, and gaining hands-on experience with tools like AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent through education/projects/internships) in AV systems, a strong interest in audiovisual technology, and a willingness to learn and grow quickly

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the design and documentation of AV systems for commercial, corporate, educational, or other client environments, working closely with senior designers and project teams.


Create and update CAD drawings, schematics, signal flow diagrams, and other technical documentation using AutoCAD (or similar tools) based on project requirements and senior guidance.

Support client needs analysis by gathering requirements, conducting basic site assessments, and helping prepare initial system concepts and equipment specifications.


Collaborate with sales, project managers, architects, and installation teams to ensure designs are practical, feasible, and meet client expectations.


Help prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), equipment lists, and basic scope documents.


Participate in project handoffs, reviews, and troubleshooting support during implementation phases.


Stay current with AV industry trends, products, and best practices through self-study and team training.

Perform other related tasks as assigned to support team success.






Qualifications:



1–2 years of hands-on experience in AV system design, integration, technical support, or a related field (entry-level candidates with strong relevant education, internships, or personal projects will be considered).


Solid understanding of basic AV design principles, including signal flow, audio/video components, and system integration conceptsProficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.


Strong knowledge of AV equipment, systems, and industry standards.


Highly organised, excellent time management skills, and reliable.


Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.


Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.


A passion for staying updated with advancements in AV technology.


Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)


Candidate with less experience will be considered as Junior Design Consultant


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing and engineering large scale audio visual systems for events and installations


Knowledge of audio video transmission and distribution solutions


CTS certification or other relevant industry certifications
